Religious Education

We aim to produce curious and well-rounded learners at Sauncey Wood and therefore we teach the children about all the major world religions in regular RE lessons. Children study religious education and world views in our school using the Hertfordshire Syllabus. We build upon their learning year upon year to ensure developing understanding in clear, sequential steps. We have carefully planned trips at Sauncey Wood to different places of worship which allows the children to see religion ‘in action’ and ask pertinent questions to religious leaders.  

Parents have the right to withdraw their child/children part or all Religious Education lessons.  If you are considering withdrawing your child/children, please contact the Headteacher to arrange a discussion.
