The Harpenden Plus Partnership covers the area of Harpenden, Kimpton, Redbourn and Wheathampstead.

We are here to offer a free and confidential services to parents/carers of families of children who attend our partnership schools. We will support you and your families with any concerns you may be facing with your child at home or school, however large or small the problem. We can offer anything from one conversation to a longer period of support. We also run various courses and workshops on a variety of topics that give you ideas to try at home.

Your issues may be varied

Sometimes these concerns are too complex and need specialist support. Our Family Support Workers can guide and support you to the right specialist services such as:

Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Specialist Emotional and Behavioural Support
Bereavement Support

Parenting Workshops and Courses

Below is a selection of the courses we offer. Our Parenting facilitators are qualified and trained to OCN level 3 or 4 and can deliver a variety of courses and workshops on request. They are also trained to HCC Safeguarding standards and hold enhanced DBS certificates. All courses and workshops are hosted in schools or community venues which are safe and comfortable. They are offered to small groups to encourage participation.

Protective Behaviours (Helen and Jess are accredited and Protective Behaviour Champions)
Families Feeling Safe - 9 week Protective Behaviours programme for adults
4 My family and Me - 4 week introduction to the Protective Behaviours programme
Families Feeling Safe Network - monthly meetings
Parenting Network to meet every half term
