Welcome to Elm class 

Elm class is taught by Miss Flint, Mrs Mackness and Miss Atkinson.

Elm class is made up of Reception and Year 1 children. Maths and phonics are taught separately in the relevant year groups to allow the children to make as much progress as possible. Literacy is taught in small, focused groups. The Reception children will have themes which all learning stems from. This allows us to plan multiple inside and outside opportunities for learning. We have writing, reading and maths sheds outside that are used to spark children’s sense of wonder as well as a fantastic outdoor and covered area for all the children to use. We have water and sand areas and the children use our forest area on a regular basis for some great outdoor learning!
