Welcome to Beech Class

Beech class is taught by Mrs Clarke. The teaching assistants are Miss Joyner, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Khani.

In Beech class, we aim to build on the progress made in Reception and Year 1 by keeping the children excited about learning! The children are taught phonics and maths separately to allow them to make as much progress as possible. We have many wonderful topics in Beech that develop children’s writing skills by introducing new genres. Reading skills are kept at the forefront of our curriculum and phonics teaching continues alongside daily guided reading sessions. We develop children’s understanding of maths by solving mathematical problems and continue to practise fluency skills.
