Welcome to Year 2 

Year 2 is taught by Mrs Clarke. The teaching assistant is Miss Joyner.  

In Year 2, we aim to build on the progress made in Year 1 by keeping the children excited about learning! We have many wonderful topics in Year 2 that develop the children’s writing skills by introducing new genres. Reading skills are kept at the forefront of our curriculum and phonics teaching continues alongside daily guided reading sessions. We develop children’s understanding of maths by solving mathematical problems and continue to practise fluency skills.
