Our super Home Learning

Science learning from William

I have planted some seeds with my brother Joseph (2) and sister Lauren (6).

I planted Ranunculus because they looked like roses and I liked the look of them.

Lauren planted Freesias and Joseph planted sweet peas.

We are watering them every day and we hope they look lovely when they have grown.

Super artwork from Alfie
Alfie has been doing some lovely artwork with Annie and his cousins over Facetime!
Betty's lovely poem
This is Betty's poem she wrote for her English learning.  It is in the style of Allan Ahlberg's 'Please Mrs Butler'.
Well done, Betty!

Morten's great Geography work!

Willow's Amazing Shadows Investigation

I have been finding about how the sun moves across the sky causing the shadows to move too .I have been drawing around my mummy’s shadow. At different times the shadow has moved. We have been doing this to see the difference from the sun moving in the sky. We have discovered that when the sun is lower in the sky, our shadows were longer.

I have also been telling the time using the sun, shadows and washing line poles.  So I looked at the shadow and drew over the pole’s shadow at different times. We are trying to do it at all of the hours. I have been using the sun and poles to tell time but on Saturday we couldn’t tell the time because it wasn’t bright enough .Later in the day the pole’s shadow grew longer because the sun was lower in the sky.

Really super Science work, Willow! Well done!
Amelia-Rose's beautiful paper flowers
Aren't they beautiful!
Dillon's amazing diary entry
Dillon used the Learning power of perseverance to write an amazing diary entry based on the book 'Escape From Pompeii'.  The children had to think of descriptive words and phrases linked to erupting volcanoes the previous day.  Then they had to create a diary entry that would include these adjectives and also convey the horror the character must have felt, to witness Vesuvius erupt.

Simar's super shadow puppets!

Felix has created some fabulous shadow puppets too!
William's super V.E. day work
