Help us to make Sauncey Wood and Batford Heartsafe
Following our first aid training at the start of this term, we have set up a crowdfunding page to try and raise enough money to buy and install an Automated External Defibrillator on our school site. An AED is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm. AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA is a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. Using an AED on a person who is having SCA may save the person's life. SCA can happen anywhere to anyone. By having an AED on the school site, the school and local community will have piece of mind that this machine is available in an emergency.

Thank you in advance.
