Mindful Eating

Mindful isn't just about taking your time or chewing your food for longer. Mindful eating should take place as a family with no TV when you can be relaxed, calm and enjoy each others company and the food being eaten. To be a mindful eater you should allow yourself to become aware of the positive and nurturing opportunities that are available through food selection and preparation by respecting your own inner wisdom. You should use all your senses in choosing to eat food that is both satisfying to you and nourishing to your body. You must acknowledge responses to food (likes, dislikes, or neutral) without judgment.
