We have some new arrivals at Sauncey Wood who have been settling in to their new surroundings. Mrs Redway and her family very kindly donated their 4 hens and coop to us. The hens have been settling in and are now laying regular eggs. The hens are called Snowy, Chicken pox, Escat and Mr Whippy. The children will soon be able to help care for the hens and their eggs will be available to take at each celebration assembly for a small donation towards their food and upkeep. Introducing animals to our outdoor learning environment was a request many children added to their ideal outdoor environment designs and our plans are now beginning to move forward.
