The school resources committee met on October 1st, 2015 for it’s termly review of finances, spending, resources, staffing, health & safety, etc. It was attended by Rachel Angus (Chair), Steve Lloyd, Helen Parkinson and

Helen Fitzakerley.

This was the first time that Steve Lloyd had presented budget information to the governing body since his appointment as the new headteacher in September. A thorough report of the school’s current financial position was received and spending plans for the upcoming academic year were discussed.

This is clearly an exciting time for the school with fresh ideas and new initiatives being considered. On a less interesting but equally important topic, the committee considered the financial procedures in place in the school including how appropriate financial checks are ensured and assets are best used and protected.
