School Improvement Committee Meeting 10th March 2015

The School Improvement Committee, members of which are Liz Redway (chair), Emma Robinson, John Burt, Caroline Thomas, Helen Parkinson and Ryan Hockley met on 10th March 2015. They were joined by Adrian Hales, who hopes to become our new community governor at the next Full Governing Body meeting.

Discussion centred on the recent questionnaires completed during parents consultation evening and what the responses tell us about how you feel about the school. This group will be made up of staff, governors and parents / ca

rers. Please do contact Mr Burt if you have a little spare time and would be willing to help with this initiative.

The questionnaires also showed an improvement on how you feel the Governing Body communicates with parents/carers. We have been working hard on this (as a result of your answers last year) so it’s great to see you feel we have improved. We continue to welcome your feedback and you can email the governing body on at any time. Thanks to all of you who took the time to fill in a questionnaire.

Attendance figures were also carefully considered during the meeting with the school being broken into groups to see which children are good or better at coming to school every day. Currently the girls are beating the boys by a good margin so come on boys – make sure you come in on time, every day! Our whole school target is 95% for the year and we’re currently at 94.5% with the Summer term left to bridge that gap so we’ll be looking at those figures again later in the year to see if we made it.
