Crisis counselling for children aged 5-11. Schools need to apply for a counselling space with a 'pen picture' of the child to the Partnership manager (by email) and will be placed on a waiting list; although places are offered on the basis of need rather than order on the waiting list. We offer an initial 6 sessions of counselling/mentoring and will consider extending this if necessary or referring to another agency in consultation with the school. Schools need to provide a suitable space for the counselling.
Family First Assessment (FFA) support for schools through the Early Help module (EHM)
The Family Support Workers act as the case co-ordinators and offer comprehensive support to the Keyworker ( a member of school staff). The case co-coordinator role involves logging the FFA and meeting with the school and family to do the Families First Assessment; writing up the FFA and logging it; arranging the team around the family meetings (TAF); minuting the meetings; writing up the reviews and logging them on behalf of the schools; applying for personalised commissioning funding where appropriate; completing some of the actions and liaising with the family. we have a broad knowledge of external agencies and local service which can be approached to support.
