School Meals are provided by Hertfordshire Catering and cost £2.40 per day. The children choose each morning as to whether they'd like the 'red' meat option, 'green' vegetarian option or 'yellow' jacket potato option for their lunch.
School Gateway is used to pay for school meals. Meals MUST be paid for in advance.

At Sauncey Wood we offer a variety of music tuition to our pupils in year 3 and above. We currently offer two options:
Hertfordshire music service
Both of these offer lessons during the school day. If you are interested in music lessons, please let the school office know by completing to following form.
In case of financial hardship, applications may be made for remission for fees, and all or part may be granted. Students must be in Year 3 or above and in receipt of certain benefits in order to be considered for financial support for music tuition with Hertfordshire Music Service. Milk is offered to all children at a subsidised rate. You will be sent a letter each term for you to apply. If you think you maybe eligible for free milk please contact the office.
Unfortunately we are unable to change the milk order during the term, so milk MUST be ordered before the end of the term in order to receive milk in the next term.
If your child is absent because of ill health or a medical appointment, a day of religious observance or an exceptional family circumstance such as a bereavement, please telephone the school before 08:45 so that the absence can be officially recorded.
Absences without adequate explanation are marked as unauthorised. These include birthday treats, day trips or family outings, but also late arrival at school (after 08:55) without proper explanation. Attendance is monitored termly by the Education Welfare Officer.
If you wish to request a leave of absence for exceptional circumstances, you will need to complete a form and return it to the school office at least a week prior to the event date.

If you can'tfind the information you need, please do contact your child's teacher in the first instance.
We can only administer medication that has been prescribed by a doctor. The medication must be in its original packaging with the label on from the pharmacy. A form must be completed and handed into the school office.
Please make sure that we have your correct email address, as all our letters home are sent electronically.
Where paper copies are needed, we usually put them into your child's bookbag.
