PARENTS

We are here to offer a free and confidential services to parents/cares of families of children who attend our partnership schools. We will support you and your families with any concerns you may be facing with your child at home or school, however large or small the problem. We can offer anything from one conversation to a longer period of support. We also run various courses and workshops on a variety of topics that give you ideas to try at home.

Your issues may be varied such as:

Changing schools
Relationships and communication
Family routines
Managing behaviour emotions
Managing anger
Dealing with anxiety
Internet safety
Smoking, drinking, alcohol, safe sex
Understanding teenagers
Finding time for yourself
Housing
Financial difficulties
Employment and work skill
Benefits advice
Bullying

Sometimes these concerns are too complex and need specialist support. Our Family Support Workers can guide and support you to the right specialist services such as:

Useful Information

Our Parenting facilitators are qualified and trained to OCN level 3 or 4 and can deliver a variety of courses and workshops on request. They are also trained to HCC Safeguarding standards and hold enhanced DBS certificates.

All courses and workshops are hosted in schools or community venues which are safe and comfortable. They are offered to small groups to encourage participation.
